Tamil Nadu, India, an Indian man comes to the doctor complaining his ear as he suddenly felt itchy. Once checked, how shocked when the doctor found there was a cricket in the patient's ear. Doctors from South Zone ENT Research Centre in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu was also trying to take the crickets 'stuck' in the inner ear of the patients who remain anonymous. Not to forget the doctor who did the procedure was also recorded to be used as a reference later. In the video, the doctor look initially observed in the patient's ear and suggest that two insect legs sticking out and looks moving. Then just by using small tweezers, the doctor seeks to clamp the legs of insects. After making sure the clip will not make the insects 'blurred', he then pulled it out slowly. He said that if the procedure is done in a hurry, it is quite likely that the insects will be 'stuck' deeper. At the end of the video, the doctor compared the size of the crickets in the ear of the patient. And he further surprised to learn that cricket is quite large, roughly equal to 3 inches or 7.6 cm. Uniquely, the crickets were still alive despite having stuck in the human ear for some time. In response to this incident, Michael Sweet, lecturer and invertebrate biologist at the University of Derby reveals it is a typical home-cooked Indian cricket. It could be that he entered into the ears of the man to hide in the middle of broad daylight. "These insects are invasive, there is everywhere in the world. Especially in countries with warm and he usually hide during the day. Maybe crickets that go into the ear of the man who was asleep and intend to hide there until night only , "he said as quoted from various sources, on Wednesday (08/10/2014).
